Pyramid Pilgrimage

An epic self-discovery game and journey based on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs

Intro

Abraham Maslow was a mid 20th century American psychologist who made this pyramid as a guideline for people to understand human behavior and conceptualize how we can evolve into more self-aware, powerful beings.

Each level of the game contains specific projects or activities that you will do out in the world. The Internet will not be necessary and only used for finding specific opportunities in your area to fulfill each category.

The specific undertakings you will pursue are stashed in a pocket behind the card pertaining to each level.

Each circle portrays a one hour minimum time spent on the subcategory that the letter in it represents (doing the task itself, not including research time to figure out where/what it will be).

As soon as each circle is completed on a card, you are raised to the next level, until you reach the zenith and complete the self-actualization stage.

When you reach this point, you will reflect upon your journey and have a stronger awareness of who you deeply are on all levels, enabling you to make confident choices in whatever direction you feel right about going next.

Remember that the journey doesn’t end when the game does; there will be even greater lessons and adventures ahead of you, and by knowing yourself intimately, you will know which ones are worth pursuing.
