Co-Creation School PTA Presents:
REFUGIA Farm School Network
The Reconnective Education For Utopian Growth International Alliance represents the concept in ecological literature the acronym spells out. Refugia are habitats that are resilient and resistant to modern climate disturbances such as environmental toxins, electromagnetic field alterations by wireless technologies, and extreme weather changes caused by controversial practices.

REFUGIA is a network created for farmers/land stewards, teachers, parents, and students of all ages to build strength in expanding to serve more areas and people, have a solid resource directory, and share stories and practices that work efficiently.

REFUGIA's mission is threefold: 1. Help communities establish and sustain life-skill schools on farms to 2. preserve their cultural heritage and 3. connect all ages to the land as responsible, self-sustaining stewards

Permaculture Principles
Posted at Dreamland, a Mayan Permaculture-based farm school devoted to helping locals steward their land in traditional ways.

Dreamland is located at Lake Atitlan, where the effects of western colonization still impacts that land and it's residence. Toxic chemicals are still being sprayed to control pests- but Dreamland has been actively working for the last 4 years to demonstrate an organic, life-nourishing way to grow food. Their volunteers are co-creating beautiful gardens, eco-conscious buildings, and nature-based art to ripple out harmonious, affordable, simple ways of living . They offer classes free of charge to the locals of all ages so that they can have the ability to care for their land in accordance to their ancestral traditions.
